Stillpoint Massage: How We Began and Who We Are Now

Stillpoint Massage was founded by Dan Hanneman in 1994. Dan practiced therapeutic massage independently until 2016, when when he began working with the Veterans via referral from the Veterans Administration (Dan working with Veterans to reduce pain medication through massage therapy)
A veteran himself, Dan recognized the major benefits that massage had on them and his non-veteran clients. He has since expanded his business, joined by a group of talented local Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs).

Dan Hanneman

As Eldridge Cleaver said, “If you are not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem.” I was drawn to massage because of my interested in people and their health and wellbeing and I wanted to build a livelihood that would benefit my community. It’s been an honor to have practiced my passion, massage therapy, for over 25 years. I trained at Dr. Welbe’s School of Massage Therapy, in Omaha.
As a Navy Veteran, I feel it’s extremely important to serve all members of service in this great country. I am able to offer Medical Massage to Veteran’s in Nebraska and Western Iowa through the Veteran’s Community Care Network (VA CCN) as a credentialed Provider with OPTUM Health Service. The work that I’ve done with them has been some of the most rewarding.
Stillpoint Massage is a part of UnitedHealthcare’s discount plan offering 20% off medical massage, and I am member of ABMP.

My experience in bodywork has led me to use a holistic therapeutic approach with my clients. It’s important to me to treat each massage therapy session uniquely, constantly assessing the needs of my client for their wellbeing. I am at ease doing many different techniques, and can accommodate a clients preference, such as using oil or not, remaining clothed or not, and delivering the appropriate amount of pressure, from a feather touch to a heavy hand.
